Engineers are discussing various issues at a modern manufacturing facility.

About tensoryze

Work on software that really makes a difference in production.

At tensoryze, we are developing a data and AI platform for real-world production environments. Our work combines industrial processes, software development, data integration, and artificial intelligence—with the goal of making production data more usable and enabling concrete applications on the shop floor.

We are looking for people who combine technical depth with pragmatic implementation. We’re not interested in abstract concepts or purely demonstrative projects, but rather in solutions that work within established system landscapes, utilize real data, and create tangible value for businesses.

What It’s All About

tensoryze is developing a data and AI platform for the manufacturing industry. Our platform connects machines, systems, and applications, creates a shared database , and enables concrete solutions for monitoring, analytics, machine learning, and assistance systems on the shop floor.

As a software engineer, you’ll work on this very platform: from backend services and data models to interfaces and integrations, all the way to user-friendly applications for industrial use cases. It’s not just about writing clean code; it’s also about building technical solutions that work in real production environments.

Your responsibilities

  • You will develop backend and frontend components for our platform and our applications.
  • You will work on interfaces, data flows, and integrations between the shop floor, IT systems, and platform services.
  • You’ll help structure and contextualize production data and make it usable for various applications.
  • You’ll implement features for dashboards, monitoring, workflows, or AI-based applications.
  • You’ll work closely with the product, data science, and client project teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • You’ll contribute your own ideas on how to further improve architecture, developer experience, and product quality.

What You Should Bring

  • Experience in software development, ideally with modern web technologies and backend systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language, such as TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java.
  • Understanding of APIs, databases, system architecture, and clean software structures.
  • Interest in industrial data, platform architectures, machine learning, or automation.
  • The ability to think through technical issues clearly and implement them pragmatically.
  • The ability to work independently, a sense of responsibility, and a desire to play a visible role in a small team.

Nice, but not a must

  • Experience with industrial protocols or IT/OT topics, such as OPC UA, MQTT, MES, SCADA, or ERP integrations.
  • Experience with cloud, edge, or on-premises deployments.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, MLOps, or LLM applications.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • An understanding of production processes or industrial use cases.

What You Can Expect from Us

  • You’ll be working on a product that combines technical depth with practical relevance.
  • You’ll gain insight into real-world industrial challenges rather than just abstract software problems.
  • You can play an active role in shaping architecture, products, and processes.
  • You’ll work in a small, focused team with flat hierarchies and direct responsibility.
  • You’ll have the freedom to work independently, make technical decisions, and pursue your personal development.
